The Best Kind of Check ups

The past few Midwife appointments have had an added bonus. Eva has gotten to play with Angelina for the hour that I get all checked out. The girls are sweet together and its good for Eva :).

As a side note, one of the things that annoyed me about my OB visits when I was pregnant with Eva is that they would always rush me through the visit. They were in such a rush they often times would talk through the time that I got to hear the heartbeat. I really resented that at the time. Bella doesn't do that! She listens and seems to enjoy listening too :). Things like that make me really happy :).

check Up

Well as of tomorrow I am 37 weeks. Which means I will be full-term. Yay! The baby can show up at anytime and there will be a very small risk of the baby being premature in any way. Today Bella checked everything out and said I am looking great! My iron levels have shot up and are higher than most pregnant ladies. My blood pressure looks good. The baby has an excellent heart beat that is very strong. She also mentioned that the baby has moved sides. Still head down but is on my right side, not the left. She says that typically means that the baby will come out faster and have an easier delivery :). Happy thoughts :).

I have had a couple of baby dreams the past week or two. They have been about the delivery and they have been so nice! I feel one contraction, squat and the baby slides out. Yes, I know - in my dreams. Nice to think about. Puts me at ease, better than have labor nightmares, right?

I am busy preparing the house! Washing everything and arranging then rearranging. I am getting very excited! Yay, come when you're ready Abby!

Support

For the majority of this pregnancy I have been feeling really well. For the past few months I have even been more organized and more on top of house work. This past week and a half I have been feeling pretty good but I have slowed waaaay down. I feel more scatter-brained and lacking clear direction and motivation to complete things.

Justin has really stepped in to help me! He has been cooking dinner a couple times a week, helped with the laundry and even done more cleaning than usual. Almost the entire pregnancy he has cleaned up after dinner ever night, going to the grocery store... It goes on and on. I am very thankful.

Happy V-day honey, I love you.

Last Minute Ultra Sound

Yesterday Eva and I went for an Ultrasound to check in on baby. Eva seemed to understand and acted excited as we waited. She'd say, "Abby, baby sister." When we got inside the room, Eva kept saying, "Abby inside!" while she patted my belly. When the tech blocked her view she kept peering over her shoulder! So cute.

It was wonderful to see her! Doesn't look like she has any hair, so this heartburn may not prove the wives tale. We saw everything! I loved to see her little toes, knees, crossed legs, little booty, heart, spine and her chest rise and fall while she breathed. Eva and I saw her profile, her lips were kissing the placenta :). She is perfect!

They said that she is about 5 lbs 9 oz! Whoa, I'd better lay off the carbs! The ultrasound tech also commented on her position being very low and her head being in the ready position! We confirmed that she is a girl! The tech took so many pictures, but this is what I got:

Its a girl - for sure!Profile, click to view larger image

I was so thankful to all of you who could make it and for your blessings that you brought and to all who couldn't make it - you were very missed!
